This is a a great pattern. I fussed with it quite a bit - I wanted a fit top but did not want darts (ahem. reality). It took me a couple test garments to accept reality :-). I modified the a-line skirt to be a four gored skirt as gored worked better with my print. The directions were as always excellent, although I did have some challenges preventing the waist seam from stretching out when I put in the elastic. I'm super happy with how this came out!

Grafton tops with Irving skirt
I made a Grafton fitted bodice and relaxed bodice and attached them to Irving skirts. These patterns make it so easy to fit. They are made for a real person not a Barbie doll. I made a muslin for the tops and skirt. I used the muslin skirt for an actual skirt. I feel so good about sewing clothes now.

Lovely Dress & Perfect Fit
I made two Grafton dresses this month, one with the square neckline and one with a V neckline. Both fit perfectly! Both were quick and easy to sew. I love the neckline box option to make different looks. Excellent pattern!

Perfect bridesmaid dress
I made the square neckline, fitted bodice, and the A line skirt. I added flutter sleeves from a different pattern. Added a belt and boom! Bridesmaid ready! Loads of compliments. Instructions and drafting are wonderful. Can’t wait to try different variations!
