How do digital patterns work?
Digital patterns are sent to you as a PDF file, which you can then download to your computer, print, assemble, and sew up at home. The benefit is that they’re instant gratification – you could be starting your project in minutes!
How will I receive my digital pattern?
When you place your order you’ll get an email straight away, with a link for you to download your pattern. The email will come from "Cashmerette <noreply@sendowl.com>" - check your junk/spam folder if you don't see the email straight away. This link does not expire and may not be shared with others.

How do I use a digital pattern?
- Download and save the file to your computer (do not just click "open").
- Open the .zip folder, and "drag" the files to the desktop or a folder on your computer to save them. The pattern files are grouped by cup size (C/D, E/F, G/H) so you only need to print one. There are three types of file included: print at home (Print_At_Home), A0 size files for copyshop printing (A0_Copyshop) and 36" wide size files for US copyshop printing (US_Copyshop). There is also a file containing the instructions for sewing your pattern.
- Use a PDF reader (we recommend Adobe Reader, which is free) to open the file you want to print, in your size.
- Print a test page of the PDF on Letter or A4 paper, selecting “custom fit = 100%” or “no scaling” on your PDF printer settings. Use a ruler to check that each square in the grid on the test page measures 1 inch by 1 inch.
- Print the remaining pages, and assemble. Each page has a grid surrounded by a white margin. Cut the right and bottom margin off each page, overlap with the adjoining pages, then tape or glue them together.
- Cut out your final pattern pieces, and get ready to start your project!
- You can print out the instructions, or just view them on your computer to save paper.
Which paper size should I use to print at home?
Cashmerette PDF Patterns have been formatted to work on either A4 or US Letter sized paper.
I don’t want to print at home – can I use a copy shop instead?
Yes, each digital pattern comes with two “copy shop” versions for each size. One is for printing on A0 paper (common in Europe), and the second is for printing on 36 inch wide paper (common in the US).
Why is the pattern not opening on my phone / tablet?
The patterns will be delivered as a .zip file, which can’t be opened on most phones or tablets. However, you can open the .zip file on your computer, and then send the PDF files to your phone or table, which should work!
My pattern is printing without margins– help!
If you print directly from a web browser you may have this problem. Instead, download the file to your computer first, then use Adobe Reader to open the file and it should work.
The grid is printing at the wrong size – help!
Double check that your printer is not “scaling” the pattern – you should either be able to click on “no scaling” or set the scaling to “100%”. Try using Adobe Reader if you’re using another program which may alter the scaling.
What is the size range of your patterns?
Our size range is expanding to 0-32 (previously 12-28). New patterns are being released in our dual size ranges, 0-16 and 12-32 (sold separately), in print and digital, and we are working on moving our existing patterns to the new size range.

How do your cup sizes work, and how do I decide which size to make?
Cashmerette Patterns are uniquely designed in three cup sizes: C/D, E/F and G/H. Each pattern was designed using three separate blocks, which mean they should fit perfectly to your bust with no need for a Full Bust Adjustment!
As bra sizes are variable, use your high bust and full bust measurements to choose your bust size, rather than your bra size – don’t worry if it’s different than you expect!
What height do you design for?
Cashmerette Patterns are designed for a woman who is 5’6”.
How do I grade between sizes?
See details for grading between sizes here.
VAT
I live in the EU: why is VAT being charged on my PDF pattern?
EU law dictates that online digital products will be taxed based on when the purchaser lives rather than where the seller lives. As a result, we legally have to charge you VAT based on your country. You can read more about the VAT regulations here.
I live in the UK: why is VAT being charged on my purchase?
Post Brexit, VAT has to be charged on all purchases sent to the UK, whether physical or digital, regardless of where the seller is from. As a result, we legally have to charge you UK VAT on purchases, which we then remit to the UK authorities.
Where do you ship to?
