I needed a dress for an event but couldn’t find the right thing in stores. So I said I can just make myself one… but how do I find a great pattern? Well I found the Alcott dress online and decided to go for it. I did the online measuring tool to determine my size. It fit perfectly and I’m so happy with it. I wore two times so far and still feel like it’s the perfect dress.

First knit dress - a success!
Great pattern, easy to follow instructions. Loved the larger bust cup sizes, i'm a GG, fits great. My next one I will make the bodice a bit longer. This one I am going to add an extra bit on the hem, to have 2 layers. I don't have the legs for a short dress.

So versatile!!
I started sewing my own clothes in february this year. I bought Appleton dress but the wrapping was just not not ideal for more active days. My friend recommended the Alcott instead and it's been love at first sight. I've sewn four so far and they do not look alike at all. I made one in french terry with a contrast color waistband that's more formal, a simple but high quality jersey for everyday on the cooler days, a cotton viscose jersey for summer and a double layer (skirt as well) combining simple yersey with see through tie dye stretchy lace. They do not look alike at all yet it's alle the same pattern. Wondeful!

Love it!!! So well thought out and explained
I was amazed i needed almost no changes when following the size guide. I usually have to do a ton of them. The pattern was beautifully explained. I’d love to see a lightweight version with only a single layer top but this is fantastic. Im going to try more of her patterns for sure!!

In love with the Alcott dress
This is the first Casherette pattern I bought, but it won't be the last! I love how easy it is to grade between sizes. The instructions are very clear and guide you through every step. After grading there were no other alterations needed, so I got a perfect fit in one go!

Alcott dress
This was a great pattern to make up, true to size I lengthened the skirt to make it midi , would recommend .
