Appleton Dress

Concord T-Shirt

The Concord is the ultimate closet workhorse, with multiple neckline, sleeve, and hem options. Printed pattern includes sizes 12-32.

Dartmouth Top

A great starter pack for knits!

I'm an experienced sewist who has always been intimated by working with knits. This pattern bundle was the perfect opportunity to actually use up some of the knit fabrics in my stash and to get more comfortable with my new coverstitch machine. So far I've made two each of the Appleton dress and Dartmouth top. Both fit well with minimal alterations, and I think I could've gotten good results even without a serger and coverstitcher. They've been in heavy rotation in my work wardrobe. And I hope to make a few Concord tees out of very lightweight wool merino jersey before spring gets here.

I Love These Patterns

My title is based off of the other four patterns I've also sewn up from Cashmerette, not just the Learn To Sew Knits Bundle. Especially because I've only sewn up the Concord Tee from the bundle so far! But I love the fit on all my Cashmerette makes. The only "fitting" I've ever done on a Cashmerette Pattern is grading.

The Concord Tee is just such a quick, satisfying sew and it's the cornerstone of an everyday wardrobe. The three shirt lengths, three sleeve lengths, and three necklines really allow you to fill out all your knit-shirt needs. I just cut out my third Concord Tee and I am so excited to have another one to wear!

I'll try to amend this review or write a new one once I've sewn the Dartmouth or Appleton, but from past experience I know the instructions will be clear and detailed, the online support will be amazing, and the fit will be just what I need.

These are patterns I have been lusting for a long time. I have yet to make them, but the directions look very complete, easy to follow, and better quality than standard patterns we find in the stores.
