I got this pattern as part of a buy 2 get 1 free sale, and I can't believe I overlooked it. It's cute, comfy, and really hits the "nice but not dressy" sweet spot. I got compliments literally in the first *minute* I wore this in public.
I made this in 12CD, grading to 14 at the hip. I used a rayon knit with a lot of vertical drag, so it fits more tightly than designed, but I like it that way. I have large biceps, and the sleeves are very fitted (not loose like the photo), but not binding at all. I was able to predict that from the finished garment measurements and my garment's stretch percentage, but it would have been helpful if that was included in the body measurements as well.
My only mod was to skip the side slits. I sewed them closed to make pressing easier, and decided I didn't need them after all.
I definitely plan to make this again. Next up is a longer-sleeved version in a print for the fall. I could also see versions with a v-neck, in a sweater knit, or as a top with shorter ties.
The only reason I'm not giving it 4 stars is that the neck binding instructions could have been clearer. I had some trouble figuring out how many times to fold and how far to fold in steps 3-5.
